Elizabeth has been training in dance and musical theater since the age of 3 years old.
Elizabeth has had most of her training at the Antelope Valley Performing Arts Conservatory (AVPAC), where she
trained in dance, voice, acting (stage and film) and toured with this company as well.
She also trained in some of Los Angeles’ most distinguished dance studios; such as Hama’s Dance Center, Millennium, Debbie Allen, Edge Performing Arts Center and Debbie Reynolds.
Elizabeth performed as a touring guest performer on Carnival Cruise Line and Royal Carribbean for 3 consecutive years.
Elizabeth was a premiere dancer with The Conservatory Ballet Theatre on a 5 year contract, where she performed in ballets such as “Cinderella”, “Little Mermaid”, “Alice In Wonderland”, was the Principal Soloist in “The Christmas Attic” and had the Principal Role playing “Jasmine” in “Aladdin” -The Ballet”. She also was a parade dancer in the "Pixar Play Parade" at Disneyland Resort's California Adventure.
Over the years Elizabeth has grown accustom to being invited into and participating in several summer dance intensives such as ABT NY and AL, Alvin Ailey, Joffery Ballet, Royal Ballet and Miami City Ballet. All of which, Elizabeth has contributed to generously.
In 2005 Elizabeth was one of only 150 performers, nationwide, to be accepted into the famed Broadway Theatre Project .
Through out the years Elizabeth has maintained an active role teaching dance in all styles to all ages. She has taught from baby ballet/tap combo to adult conditioning. She is familiar with all types of productions, performances and competitions. Has been invited as guest choreographer competitions and stage productions.
These are only a few of the many experiences that have fueled Elizabeth Gavalda’s passion for the performing arts and the love of bringing her knowledge to young inspiring performers. |
