Actor, Musician, Director, Assistant Director
L.A. native Perry Shields' theatrical background includes over 70 productions in the capacity of actor, musician, and director. Some of his favorite roles in Torrance have included Sir Evelyn in Anything Goes, Felix in The Odd Couple, The Complete Works of William Shakespeare (Abridged) (himself), Waldgrave in The Nerd, Pellinore in Camelot, and Schrank in West Side Story. He has also worked at the Neighborhood Playhouse, Little Fish, and Civic Light Opera of South Bay Cities, among others. His training includes voiceover with longtime L.A. radio personality Don Burns, and improvisation with the famed Groundlings. In addition to theater, Perry's industrial and commercial film and television projects include the 79-year old title character in "Jack Pierce: The Man Behind the Monsters" and Quasimodo in "A Tribute to Lon Chaney." Perry and his family were honored to receive the 2007 Excellence in Arts Award in Drama from the Torrance Cultural Arts Commission for their contribution to theatre in Torrance. |
