Director, Musical Director
Mr. Hormel is currently professor of Musical Theater at Cypress College in Orange County, CA. and the Theater Department Chair since 2006. Jim Hormel is instructor of acting, musical theater and director of the main-stage productions.
He has taught at Pacific Conservatory of the Performing Arts, East West Players Summer Conservatory, California State Summer School of the Arts and The University of California, Irvine, where he graduated with his Masters of Fine Arts – Musical Theater/Drama.
Jim is the recipient of the prestigious - California Legislature Assembly Certificate of Recognition for Exemplary Dedication of the Arts through Drama and Excellence In The Arts Award from the Torrance Cultural Arts Commission.
