Courtney Bartleet

Actress, Crew

Courtney has been involved in theatre since age 11, and is now a senior in high school. Her first musical she played in was at Harbor College called Rhyme Time (The Butcher). She was introduced to the world of the arts by her Uncle Cary and, now, Auntie Gia. They know Courtney's passion for the theatre and try to get her as involved as possible and that was when they asked her to help with Torrance Theatre Company's 2006 summer production of Grease. Since then she has been backstage helping for most of TTC's shows whether it be painting sets and props at the city yard or moving the set for performances. Not only does Courtney work behind the scenes, but she has also been in the spotlight. She has done many musicals with Starlight Productions including, Cinderella (Joy), High School Musical (Taylor), as well as Bye Bye Birdie (Gloria Rasputin). She is also apart of Starlight Xpress, which is a singing, acting, and dancing troupe that performs around the community. They have performed at Knott's Berry Farm, Relay for Life, and The Fourth of July Celebration at Wilson Park. Courtney has taken her fourth year of Theatre at Torrance High School as well. There she has accomplished many. many things. She has directed scenes, choreographed many numbers for their Night of Broadway, and was involved in spring musical Smile her Junior year. She was also lucky enough to be apart of the world premiere of Michael Kary's The Servant and The Fool, which was a great experience. All in all Courtney is in love with theatre and is glad to be apart of Torrance Theatre Company.
